Monroe driver facing DUI count

A Monroe County driver is facing a charge of driving under the influence following an incident that occurred at 10:12 p.m. Friday along Laurel Drive in the Stillwater Estates in Pocono Summit.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said they responded to Laurel Drive after receiving a complaint of an erratic driver. Police observed a vehicle matching the description given them and were further advised that the vehicle was all over the road and the driver had failed to stop for a posted stop sign.

A traffic stop was made and the driver identified as Adam Zakrzewski, 51, of Pocono Summit. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was given standard field sobriety tests. He was taken into custody and transported for a blood draw.

Police said charges have been filed.
