Monroe man arrested on active warrants
A call for a stolen vehicle ended up with the complainant being jailed on active warrants.
Pocono Mountain Regional police said at 2:43 a.m. on Wednesday they received a report of a stolen vehicle from 249 Fern Ridge Road in Tunkhannock Township. On scene officers were met by Nicholas A. Issler, 33, of Blakeslee. It was determined that the vehicle reported stolen was not Issler’s so he had no standing to report it stolen.
During the investigation police became aware that Issler had two outstanding warrants for his arrest. One was out of Monroe County issued to the Domestic Relations Office and the second out of Montgomery Count sheriff’s office for a parole violation. Issler was taken into custody and placed in the county prison in Snydersville on the warrants.
