Monroe man facing assault charge
A Monroe County man is charged with assaulting a 69-year-old woman on July 10.
State police at Stroudsburg said Jay Chamberlin, 33, of Delaware Water Gap, is charged for an incident along Raynor Lane in Smithfield Township. Troopers said Chamberlin and the victim were involved in a domestic dispute during which he allegedly pushed her to the ground inside their residence. The victim sustained a traumatic brain injury, troopers said.
A warrant was issued for Chamberlin’s arrest and he was taken into custody on Monday.
He is facing charges of simple assault, reckless endangerment and harassment.
