Monroe man facing assault charges

A Monroe County man is facing charges following an incident that occurred at 6:27 p.m. on Oct. 7 in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said John Edward Trbuza, 54, of Pohopoco Drive, Brodheadsville, got into a verbal argument with a 57-year-old woman at a residence on Pohopoco Drive. The argument turned physical with Trbuza striking the woman in the head, troopers said.

Trbuza was taken into custody and charged with simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct.
