Monroe man facing sexual assault counts

A Monroe County man is facing multiple sexual assault counts.

State police at Stroudsburg said Kevin Conroy, 46, of East Stroudsburg, has been charged with rape, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a child, unlawful contact with a minor, incest of a minor under 13 years, endangering the welfare of children, corruption of minors, sexual abuse of children, indecent assault and indecent exposure.

Troopers said Conroy admitted to exposing himself to a 7-year-old girl and touching her inappropriately. Troopers said, he searched for and viewed child pornography from home and through his work server in Parsippany, New Jersey, troopers noted.

Additionally, a boy disclosed being sexually abused by Conroy when he was 9 to 10 years old. The boy said he witnessed various sexual abuse committed by Conroy on other underage children.

Troopers said the time frame for the incidents is 2010 to 2015 and occurred at a residence in Middle Smithfield Township.

Conroy was arraigned before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville after failing to post $500,000 bail.
