Monroe property owners get letters on new tax assessment
You may have received a letter from Monroe County Administrative Center regarding the reassessment of the real estate within its borders. The tentative, new value of your property is effective tax year 2020.
“It’s not a bill, just an assessment. You can dispute the new value and may get it changed,” said Nancy Parks, constituent outreach specialist for state Rep. Jack Rader.
She received many phone calls about this matter. Rader and his staff cannot do anything except refer constituents to call 510-517-3895 to speak with a representative from Tyler Technologies. This is stated in the letter.
Tyler Technologies is the company contracted to perform the reassessment project.
As stated in the letter, “All informal reviews must be heard by June 1, 2019, so please contact Tyler Technologies by April 1, 2019, to schedule your review.”
