Monroe traffic stop results in DUI charges

Amanda Hilbert, 31, of East Stroudsburg, is facing charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs as a result of a traffic stop made by state police at the Stroudsburg barracks at 10:59 a.m. Dec. 22 at the intersection of Brushy Mountain and Marshalls Creek roads in Middle Smithfield Township.

Police said they stopped her while driving a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt for Motor Vehicle Code violations and discovered her to be under the influence.

She was taken into custody and transported to the Monroe County Correctional Facility in Snydersville.
