The amount of snow we received this weekend varied from 1 to 4 inches, but ice encased trees throughout the area, causing them to sparkle. Occasionally, trees fell on power lines, causing lights to flicker and a few residents lost electricity for several hours. Frigid temperatures will remain through Tuesday. Tonight, wind chill values are expected to be as low as 9 below zero.
