Motorcyclist killed in Carbon crash
A motorcyclist was killed in a crash late Friday evening in which speed and alcohol may have played a part in it.
Carbon County Coroner Robert Miller identified the victim as Justin Singer, 35, of Kunkletown.
According to state police at Lehighton Singer was operating a 1999 Honda bike along Route 248 at Bank Street in Bowmanstown when he crashed.
Troopers said their on-scene investigation revealed that Singer was suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol and that the crash occurred due to the bike being driven at a high rate of speed.
Singer was pronounced dead at the scene by deputy coroner Carol Leslie. The crash occurred at 11:56 p.m.
