NCC to hold poetry day

World Poetry Slam champion, Joaquín Zihuatanejo, will read from and discuss his work at Northampton Community College next week.

From 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. April 4, Zihuatanejo will be in Lipkin Theatre, Kopecek Hall, Bethlehem Campus, 3835 Green Pond Road, Bethlehem Township, and from 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. the same day, he’ll be in Room 202, Keystone Hall, Monroe Campus, 2411 Route 715, Tannersville.

Zihuatanejo has appeared on HBO’s Def Poetry and visited schools and colleges across the United States. He is the author of four poetry books, including “Arsonist.”

The event is sponsored by the Cohen Lecture Fund and is held in memory of the late NCC professor and poet Len Roberts. It is free and open to the public.
