NEPA Alliance elects new members of the Board of Directors
NEPA Alliance, a regional community and economic development agency, announced the election of the new members of the Board of Directors for Fiscal Year 2019-2020.
NEPA serves Carbon, Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Pike, Schuylkill and Wayne counties by business financing, government contracting assistance, international trade assistance, nonprofit assistance, transportation planning, research and information, and local government services.
The board members include:
• Marlyn Kissner leads the strategic positioning and partnership efforts for the Greater Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce and oversees the Chamber’s Northern Region as the executive director of the Carbon Chamber and Economic Development Corp. She also serves as the executive director for the Pocono Chamber. She serves as a board member of the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau and the Lehigh Carbon Community College Career Development Advisory Committee. And she is a volunteer for Carbon County Special Olympics and Franklin Township Fire Co. She is also a member of the Palmerton Women’s Concourse Club.
Other new members are:
• Carl R. Beardsley Jr. is the executive director of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.
• Ida L. Castro is a founding executive of The Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine in Scranton where she serves as vice president for Community Engagement and is chief diversity officer.
• Stephen Daniloff is the vice president/general manager for WBRE-WYOU-TV.
• Cynthia DeFebo is the director of the Pike County Workforce Development Agency in Shohola, which is part of a four-county consortium,
• Vincent Galko is senior vice president for Mercury.
• Arthur Keith is the general manager at Kalahari Resort Poconos. He is an award-winning hospitality executive with more than 30 years of experience in the strategic planning and execution of operational initiatives and sales and marketing campaigns.
• Theodore B. Wampole Jr. is executive director of the Luzerne County Convention and Visitors Bureau.
