Published June 11. 2018 12:42PM

Parts of Nesquehoning are going to the bears.

During a recent borough council meeting, council members discussed the number of bears that have been seen around the borough, specifically in New Columbus.

Councilman Michael Radocha asked if there was anything that can be done about the bears, adding that there are two females with cubs as well as a male that has been seen by residents during the day.

Councilman George Sabol said that he heard there was a trap set down near Maple Shade.

Councilwoman Mary Fox said that the only thing that really could be done was to contact the game commission.
