Nesquehoning Historical Society to hold meeting

The Nesquehoning Historical Society will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6 p.m. on Tuesday.

Tuesday’s agenda will include finalizing plans for the Sept. 12 fundraising dinner. The dinner will be roast beef and stuffed chicken takeouts. Tickets for the dinner may be purchased from any member of the society.

Seats are still available for the Aug. 1 bus trip to the Amish country in Lancaster.

The final opportunity to reserve a seat on the bus will be at the Tuesday meeting. All tickets must be paid in full by Wednesday.

The Nesquehoning Historical Society also welcomes the donation of antiques or other memorabilia for the museum collection. There is a need for display cases and other items related to the maintenance of the building.

For those would like officially join the society, annual dues are $10 and may be paid in person at Tuesday’s meeting.

Light refreshments will be served following the meeting. Everyone is invited.
