Nesquehoning man charged with attacking child, 13
A Nesquehoning man faces multiple charges after he attacked a child.
Edward Frye, 45, of East Railroad Street, was charged by borough police for simple assault and harassment for the incident, which took place on April 8.
Nesquehoning police said they received a report from Carbon County Children and Youth stating that Frye allegedly assaulted a 13-year-old boy at his residence.
The boy reported that Frye attacked him in the kitchen for no reason, grabbing him by the head and striking him a number of times. The boy’s mother reported she saw red marks on her son’s neck.
Frye told police that he remembered an incident taking place between him and the boy, but did not remember what happened.
He is awaiting a preliminary hearing, scheduled for May 16, before District Judge Casimir Kosciolek.
