Nesquehoning police issue citations

Nesquehoning police recently released information about citations that were issued in the borough.

Nontraffic citations

• Dennis Ball was cited for allowing grass on property he owns on East Garibaldi Avenue, Nesquehoning, to grow over 6 inches high. The borough cut the grass and billed Ball $450 for the service. This is the sixth time police cited Ball this year for excessive grass growth.

• Matthew Ray of Nesquehoning was cited for harassment.

Traffic citations

• Amanda Mae Beshock of Lehighton was cited for driving while under suspension, an expired inspection, disorderly conduct and other vehicle code violations.

• Leonard Q. Jones of Lehighton, Ashley Ann Herrmann of Jim Thorpe, Christopher M. Barachie of Nesquehoning and Richardo Gonzalez Thillet of Hazleton were cited for driving while under suspension.

• Police also issued two citations to a driver for vehicle code violations; four citations for tractor-trailers on Route 93 where it is prohibited; two citations to a driver for failing to stop at a stop sign and having an expired inspection; two citations for speeding; and one citation for passing in a no passing zone.
