Nesquehoning woman jailed on warrant after traffic stop

Published January 24. 2020 12:26PM

Stephanie Ann Barron, 39, of 3 Club Drive, Nesquehoning, was arrested by Summit Hill police following a traffic stop at 8:52 p.m. Jan. 10 on Route 209 in the borough. She was later committed to the Schuylkill County Prison in Pottsville, after police learned there was an outstanding warrant against her in that county.

Police said they stopped a 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier that Barron was driving because the car’s license plate light and passenger-side brake light were not functioning properly.

A check of the NCIC system showed she was wanted on the outstanding warrant. Police said she had eight glassine baggies, resulting in charges of possession of drug paraphernalia.
