New East Penn supervisor selected

The East Penn Township supervisors have chosen their newest member.

Gary Kuehner will fill the seat of Steven Heckman, who resigned in January.

Kuehner, who has lived in the township since 1960, previously served on the board of supervisors, including a stint heading the township road crew. He retired from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and currently works for George’s Transportation Co. as a bus driver.

Kuehner will serve at least through the end of the year. If he wishes to remain on the board after that, he will have to run for re-election in this fall’s municipal election.
