No injuries in I-81 crash
No one was injured in a one-vehicle crash that occurred at 10:10 a.m. on Monday along Interstate 81 in Ryan Township, Schuylkill County.
State police at Frackville said Walter S. Carpenter, 68, of Heathsville, Virginia, was driving a 2008 Chevrolet Malibu northbound when the vehicle went onto the berm and hit some loose gravel. Carpenter then lost control of the vehicle and it struck the guide rail.
A passenger, Shirley J. Carpenter, 68, was uninjured Troopers cited Carpenter for the crash.
