Published February 26. 2019 12:26PM

The drivers of two vehicles that collided at 6:23 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Route 115 and Hamilton Road South in Ross Township escaped injuries, according to state police at the Lehighton barracks.

Police said Brian E. Koehler, 75, of East Bangor, was driving a 2012 Nissan Altima when he failed to stop at a stop sign and proceeded to make a left turn into the southbound lane of Route 115.

Police said the front bumper of the Altima struck the right front of a 2005 Chevrolet Cavalier that was northbound on Route 115 and driven by Ruby L. Smith, 20, of Easton.

Police said the Altima had to be towed while the Cavalier was able to be driven from the scene.

Koehler was cited for driving a vehicle that did not have an official certificate of inspection.
