July 25, 2001 Franklin Township receives home runs from Josh Sheckler, Derrick Reis and Ricky Strohl to help gain a 9-5 victory over Wayne County in the Pennsylvania 15-year old State Babe Ruth Tournament. Reis and Strohl hit two-run homers while Shecker's blast is a solo one. Sheckler also earns the pitching win, tossing a five-hitter while striking out three. The winners, managed by Wayne Wentz, receive two hits from Sheckler, Joe Mooney, Matt Baron and Todd Remaley.
