July 26, 1972 Tom Evans pitches a six-hitter and strikes out 11 batters to help Summit Hill gain an 8-3 victory over Tamaqua in a Panther Valley Little League Tournament game. Mark Zuber collects two hits and scores a pair of runs for the winners while N. Vasiliou adds two hits and a run scored. For Tamaqua, Ron Kehl and Greg Rottet each hit home runs.
