Sandstorm claims first
Sandstorm took over sole possession of first place in the Eastern Schuylkill Recreation Commission (ESRC) summer volleyball league.
Sandstorm had a big week by winning five out of six games against two teams (Valley Athletic Supply and Victorious Secret) that entered the week ahead of them in the standings.
With nine regular season matches left on the schedule, three playoff spots have already been clinched, while VBC Lehighton Tomahawks magic number to clinch is now just one game.
TUESDAY'S RESULTS
Victorious Secret-
VBC Leh. Tomahawks
Victorious Secret began the week by taking two out of three games from VBC Lehighton Tomahawks, 25-18, 25-21, 22-25.
Devin Parambo strutted her stuff for Victorious Secret with 16 service points, while Brent Homcha added 11 service points.
TJ O'Connor tallied eight service points to lead the Tomahawks.
Team Have Fun-

#Swag pulled captured two out of three games from Team Have Fun by final scores of 15-25, 25-14, 25-10.
Laura Cinicola had 13 service points and Caitlin Faust tacked on 11 service points to pace #Swag.
Geoff Sincavage had eight service points for Team Have Fun.
Sandstorm-
Valley Athletic Supply
In a battle for first place atop the standings, Sandstorm got the better of Valley Athletic Supply by sweeping the defending champions, 25-19, 29-27, 25-20.
Christa Mantz had 11 service points and Rachel Krajcirik chipped in eight service points in Sandstorm's wins.
Paige Baddick served off nine points to lead Valley Athletic.

Sandstorm
Sandstorm posted its second impressive showing of the week by defeating Victorious Secret in two out of three games. Final scores were 25-21, 25-21, 24-26.
Emily Schilling had 11 service points to lead Sandstorm, while Rachel Krajcirik factored in with five points.
Angela Rutch had eight points for Victorious Secret.
Hope's-
Valley Athletic Supply
Valley Athletic Supply got back on the winning track with a three-game sweep against Hope's, 25-15, 25-12, 25-10.
Zack Lakitsky had 12 service points with six aces, while Alyssa Mecca served up eight points.
Jamie Ramer had five service points to pace Hope's.
VBC Leh. Tomahawks- #Swag
Playing shorthanded, VBC Lehighton Tomahawks ended the week with a three-game sweep against #Swag 25-17, 25-18, 25-21.
TJ O'Connor had 27 service points with 11 aces and Daniel Fake had 17 service points with 10 aces in the Tomahawks' wins.
Mike Lindenmuth scored 10 points to lead #Swag.
