Tamaqua couple wed 62 years
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snyder of Tamaqua will celebrate their 62nd wedding anniversary on July 29. They were married in Zions Lutheran Church by the late Rev. Charles Schlitzer.
Mrs. Snyder is the former Joan Schlosser. She is retired for some years, having been employed as the Tamaqua borough secretary for 25 years.
Mr. Snyder is a disabled veteran with over 16 years of service with the U.S. Army. He was last employed as plant superintendent for Diversified Metals Corp., Hometown.
The couple has two daughters, Suzanne Blanchard of Gatesville, Texas; and Kim Kropp of Tamaqua. They also have three grandchildren, Christina Foeller of Alaska; Robert Foeller of Idaho; and David Kotansky of Tamaqua; and two great-grandchildren, Hannah and Myriah Foeller of Idaho.
