JROTC Boosters meeting

The next meeting of the Panther Valley JROTC Boosters will be held on Monday, Sept. 17 at 6 p.m. in the JROTC room. All parents and guardians are encouraged to attend to discuss the year's events and to hold nominations for officers.

Democrats to meet

Nesquehoning Democrats will meet Sunday, Aug. 26 at 6 p.m. at Maple Shade Meadows, 50 E. Locust St. All Democrats are invited to attend and to help make plans for the Nov. 6 election.

Lions Club

The Nesquehoning Lions Club will meet at 6 p.m. on Sept. 4 at Lengyel's Restaurant, 83 W. Catawissa St. The meal will begin at 5:30 p.m. The special guest for the evening will be the new zone chairperson. All members are encouraged to attend.

An informational meeting will be held on Aug. 29 beginning at 6 p.m. at 42 W. Patterson St. (corner of Patterson and Coal). Anyone interested is welcome to attend but must be at least 18 years old.
