Community Day Fair
Ross Township will hold its free fourth annual Community Day Fair at the Haney/VanBuskirk Park, Anchorage Rd in Saylorsburg on Saturday, Sept. 15 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Rain date is Sunday, Sept. 16.
The event is designed to bring residents together and let them know of the community groups and municipal/county services available to them. It's not too late to register your group or organization, free of charge.
The day will include, food, demonstrations, entertainment and new this year will be crafters showcasing their talents.
Free entertainment will be provided. Those who are fans of the sounds of Sinatra and music performed by the Rat Pack, will enjoy Dean Hornig, who will perform upbeat swing and a big band sound at noon.
At 1 p.m., Leigh Lombardo-Cole will perform the music of Patsy Cline, Barbara Mandrel, Reba McEntire and more.
The American Legion Post 927 will collect old and worn American flags for proper disposal.

Rally Day
Sunday School will start at St. Matthew's UCC on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 10:30 a.m. There are classes available for preschool age children through adults. To kick-off the start, there will be a Rally Day event and everyone is invited.
Also, confirmation classes begin this Sunday at 10:30 a.m.

Items needed
St. Matthew's is still in need for items for its Chinese auction at the 300 Club. Items can be dropped off at the church's picnic grove Saturday morning before noon or call (610) 681-4617 if you would like someone to pick the items up.
Blood drive
There will be a blood drive at St. Matthew's UCC on Monday, Sept. 17 from 1-6 p.m. For more info call the church office at (610) 381-2442.
Chestnut Ridge Seniors
The Chestnut Ridge Seniors will meet on Thursday, Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. They will be celebrating Labor Day with hot dogs and ice cream. They will also be playing Bingo.
