Gary J. Guenther, 196 Market St., Coaldale, started a divorce action against Karil Rupert, 700 Ringtown Rd., Zion Grove, North Union Township. They were married Oct. 7, 2011.
Divorces Granted
Dawn Marie Yoder was granted a divorce from Gregory Michael Yoder, both of Auburn. They were married June 3, 2000.
Deborah L. Juritsch was granted a divorce from Joseph M. Juritsch, both of Schuylkill Haven. They were married April 16, 1988.
Cynthia Motter was granted a divorce from George Motter, both of Pine Grove. They were married Aug. 11, 1990.
Melissa A. Reppert was granted a divorce from Jesse J., Reppert, both of Minersville. They were married April 21, 1996.
Settle Out Of Court
A civil suit brought by Thomas W. and Jean Strause, of 86 Scenic Mountain Road, New Ringgold, versus Margaret Aungst, of 420 Rock, Road, Pine Grove, and Newhurst, Inc., whose business office is at 1000 Rock Road, Pine Grove, has been settled. The case was listed for trial scheduled later this month, but the parties reached a settlement out of court and the prothonotary's office was notified the case was being discontinued.
At the time, Newhurst was engaged in the business of owning, leasing and operating school buses, which are leased to school districts to transport students. The suit claimed that on May 11, 2007, Aungst was operating one of the buses and a collision allegedly occurred between the bus and a vehicle driven by Thomas W. Strause at the intersection of Township Route 663 (Fisher Road) and State Route 443 in Wayne Township.
Strause sought damages for injuries, listing his medical expenses at $142,479.
Credit Card Suit
Discover Bank, Naples, Florida, filed a civil action against Mary A. Potance, 301 West Spruce Street, Tamaqua, alleging there was an unpaid balance of $17,137.80 on her credit card. The bank seeks a judgment for the amount.
Mortgageforeclosures
Citimortgages Inc., O'Fallon, Missouri, filed a civil action against Robert W. Bannon, Barnesville, alleging he has defaulted on mortgage payments on his property at 11 North Apple Street, Barnesville. It seeks a judgment of $192,290.19, plus interest and costs, and to foreclose if payment is not made.
Sovereign Bank, Wilmington, Delaware, filed a civil suit against Cory S. Snyder, of 128 West Rowe Street, Tamaqua, and Paula Snyder, of 223 Penn Street, Tamaqua, alleging they have defaulted on mortgage payments on the property at 223 Penn Street. The bank seeks a judgment in amount of $50,512.43, plus interest and costs, and foreclosure.
