Wrong math on gas prices

Dear Editor:

Your Sept 11, 2012 photo and caption about gas prices recalled in my mind that the only time gas prices were higher was when George Bush was president.

According to Gasbuddy.com the price at the end of July 2008 was $4.12. Check your math regarding the over 200 percent increase in four years.

According to Gasbuddy.com the low price on gas was 1.61 in Dec 2009.

I think gas prices would have to be above $4.80 in order to have a 200 percent increase.
