Eldred Halloween parade
The Eldred Township Halloween parade is this Sunday, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m. (Rain date is Sunday, Oct. 28.) If you are walking in the parade, you are expected to be at St. Matthew's UCC's picnic grove for check in between 11 a.m. and noon. Judging will begin at 12:15 p.m. for preregistered entrants.
If you are not an entrant, come out to support and view all the costumes.
Chestnut Ridge Seniors
The Chestnut Ridge Seniors will meet on Thursday, Oct. 25 at 11 a.m. at the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Co. They are celebrating Halloween and you should come dressed in costume. Cider and doughnuts will be served. Bring a bag lunch. They will be playing Bingo.
Donations needed
The Laymen's Fellowship of St. Matthew's are looking for donations for their annual Bazaar, Bake Sale and Chinese auction. If you would like to make a donation of items, please see that it is received by Friday, Nov. 2 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m.
Exercise classes
If you are 55 or older, you are invited to join Rosemary Allocco from Pocono Medical Center, every Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:30-10 a.m. at the Kunkletown Volunteer Fire Co. for low-impact exercising.
