Monroe woman injured in Chestnuthill crash

A Monroe County woman was injured after a one-vehicle crash Wednesday in Chest- nuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said the crash occurred at 1:40 p.m. in the area of 130 Evergreen Hollow Road, as Kathleen Denicola- Godshalk, 60, of Saylorsburg, tried to negotiate a left curve and lost control of her 2005 Volkswagen Jetta. She went off the road and struck a tree with its passenger side.

The vehicle then re-entered the roadway and crossed over both lanes of travel, before it went off the left side of the road and struck a utility pole with its front end.

West End Ambulance transported Denicola-Godshalk to Lehigh Valley Pocono. Her condition is not known.

The vehicle was towed from the scene by Matt's Garage.

West End Fire Company assisted on location.

Denicola-Godshalk was cited in the crash.
