Pleasant Valley Intermediate will be having its PTO meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. in the library.

Operation: Touch of Home fall shipment

Wanted: Names and addresses of area military men and women serving in Afghanistan, and other hostile areas overseas, to be recipients of their Nov. 11 essential's shipment. Family members or friends with this information, please contact: touchofhome@hotmail.com, or mail information on the form you can obtain on the website's "GI Info;" the GI's name, rank, address and deploy dates are critical. Also provide contact information of the provider.

Free breakfast

Salem United Church of Christ will offer a free community breakfast, Saturday, Nov. 10 from 8:30-11 a.m. It is located at Rt. 209 and Gilbert Rd., Gilbert. Donations are welcomed.

Free community Thanksgiving dinner

American Legion Post 927 will be hosting a free community Thanksgiving Dinner with all the trimmings, on Thursday Nov. 22 from noon until 5 p.m. This is open to the public.
