Donation deadlines
Sunday, Nov. 11, will be the last day for donating children's gifts and toys for Samaritan's Purse at First Congregational Church, Coaldale.
The items will be packaged and sent immediately to needy children throughout the world.
The church's Harvest Home collection of nonperishable food items will conclude on Sunday, Nov. 18.
The food items will be distributed to needy residents of the area in time for Thanksgiving.
Veterans tribute
Area veterans will be honored during the Morning Worship service at 9 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, at First Congregational Church, Coaldale.
The Community Choir will sing in their honor. Sunday School will be held at 10 a.m. The public is welcome to attend both services.
The church board will meet at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12.
On Wednesday, Nov. 14, Kids Klub will meet at 6 p.m. Adult Bible Study is also set for 6 p.m. Choir rehearsal will be held at 7 p.m.
On Sunday, Nov. 18, Morning Worship will be at 9 a.m. with Sunday School at 10 a.m.

The next meeting of the New Columbus Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 7 p.m. Gerry McConnan will preside and the hospitality committee will be Wilma Rose and Minnie Kennedy.
