Marian rolled to an easy victory over Weatherly on Friday.

BOYS BASKETBALL

No. Lehigh-Bangor

In a matchup of two of the Colonial League's top teams, Bangor got off to a quick start and rolled to a 51-42 victory over Northern Lehigh.

Alx Cohen led a trio of double digit scorers for the Slaters with 15 points.

For the Bulldogs, who trailed by double digits after the opening quarter, Lucas Pierce had 12 points and Caleb Johnson added 11.

Northern Lehigh saw its record slip to 14-3 overall and 9-3 in the league. Bangor is now 11-1 in CL play.

Palmerton-Catasauqua

The Rough Riders exploded for 23 points in the fourth quarter en route to a 67-52 Colonial League win and kept the Blue Bombers from staging a comeback

Jarred Strong and Alex Parker each scored 15 for Catasauqua (6-11, 5-7) and Paryss Marshall added 12 (eight coming in the fourth quarter).

Brett Snyder had 16 and Tyler Svetik 15 for the Bombers (1-15, 0-12).

Catasauqua also won the JV game 53-31.

After a close first quarter, State College gradually pulled away from Pleasant Valley for a 65-38 non-league victory.

Cooper paced State College (10-3) with 17 points.

Weatherly-Marian

The Fillies jumped out to a 26-point halftime lead and cruised to a 55-=28 win over the Lady Wreckers.

Kaysi McLaughlin hit from long range, nailing six three-pointers to finish with a game-high 20 points. Kelly Shober added 10. Jamie and Erin Dougherty each had eight for the Wreckers.

Marian also won the JV game, 33-13.

The Slaters jumped out to a 10-point first quarter lead and went on to beat the Lady Bulldogs, 46-37, in Colonial League action.

Audrey Schiavone finished with 15 for th eSlaters, while Samantha Hopkins backed her up with 11.

Aimee Oertner finished with a game-high 21 points to lead the Bulldogs.

The Green Knights outscored the Tigers by eight points in overtime to pull out a thrilling 55-47 Colonial League win.

Sara Cinelli had six of her 15 points in the OT. Devin Presby added 13 and Samm Firestone 12 for the Green Knights.

Sara Jones finished with 12, MacLaughlin 11 and Segan 10 for the Tigers.

Northwestern won the JV game, 33-27.
