AARP tax help
Certified AARP TaxAide volunteers are available to provide free tax form assistance to middle and low income taxpayers, with special attention to those 60 and older. All sites offer E-filing and direct deposit for any refunds.
Taxpayers must bring copies of their 2015 tax returns plus all income information, real estate tax receipts, any deduction information and health care enrollment information pertaining to 2016. You must also bring photo ID, Social Security cards. If you want refunds direct deposited, bring your bank check to ensure volunteers have the correct account numbers.

Lehigh County
• Slatington Vigilant Fire Co. Hall, E. Church Street and S. Walnut Street, Slatington, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesdays. On-site appointments can be made during operations.
Carbon County
• Palmerton Senior Center, 501 Delaware Ave., from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays.
• Lehighton Recreation Center, 243 S. Eighth St., from 9 a.m. to noon Tuesdays.
• Beaver Meadows Borough Hall, 100 E. Broad St. (Route 93,) from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays.
• Penn Forest Township municipal building, 2010 Route 903 from 9 a.m. to noon Wednesdays.
Monroe County
• Gilbert Salem United Church of Christ, Corner of Long Mountain Road and Route 209, from 9 a.m. to noon Thursdays.
