    ANDREW LEIBENGUTH/TIMES NEWS During this time of financial difficulty, every girl deserves a chance to attend her prom dressed like a princess. The first annual Tamaqua "Belle of the Ball" prom dress collection event, a community outreach partnership project of both the Zion Lutheran Church and Tamaqua Area High School staff, is still seeking donations of gently-used gowns, shoes and jewelry. The items will then be distributed free of charge next Friday March 16 from 5-8 p.m. and Saturday, March 17 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. To donate or for more information, contact Deb Davies at (570) 668-4554 or Gwen Evans at (570) 668-0666.Proudly displaying donated dressses are "Belle of the Ball" organizers Gwen Evans, left, and Deb Davies.
