Palmerton woman injured in crash

Kimberly A. Kelly, 52, of Palmerton, suffered minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 2:21 p.m. Feb. 2 on Route 115 in Chestnuthill Township.

State police at Fern Ridge said she was driving a 2002 Dodge Neon southbound between Colleen Drive and Russell Court when the vehicle traveled onto the rumble strips along the centerline of the roadway. Police said Kelly panicked and jerked the vehicle back into its lane, but the overcorrection sent the vehicle into an embankment along the east berm.

After striking the embankment, the car spun counterclockwise, coming to rest in the left lane.

She was transported to the hospital.
