Rig jackknifes after I-80 crash

A 2016 Freightliner tractor trailer jackknifed after it struck an embankment at 10:14 a.m. Jan. 31 on Interstate 80 in Tobyhanna Township. The driver was uninjured.

State police at the Fern Ridge barracks said Keith A. Rowlands, 41, of Avoca, was traveling westbound when he lost control of the rig causing it to crash.

Police said he was cited for failure to drive at a safe speed.
