Granddaughter of area couple in elite program

Angelina Farole, granddaughter of Donato and Margaret Farole of Nesquehoning, is a sophomore at Lower Dauphin High School, Hummelstown. She was recently accepted into the program Pennsylvania Youth Apprenticeship Program (PYAP).

This two-year program is an internship at the Hershey Medical Center. Only 10 students were selected to participate in the program after submitting an essay, teacher recommendations, and going through an interview process.

Angelina will begin this fall. This program helps the chosen students determine what field of medicine they will pursue.
