Food pantry slated

The Shepherd House Food Pantry at Ebenezer E.C. Church will be open on Saturday, Jan. 14 from 9-11 a.m. Recipients must reside within the Jim Thorpe School District and fall within TEFAP income guidelines. The pantry is located at 441 Center Ave. in Jim Thorpe. Please park in the Cherry Avenue parking lot and enter through the rear entrance.

The food pantry serves 100 families each month and that number is growing. There is a lot of work involved to keep the food pantry running and volunteers are always needed. If you are able to volunteer a few hours of your time, please stop by or call (570) 325-2855 to find out other dates help is needed.

Bloodmobile

The American Red Cross Bloodmobile will be stationed at Memorial Hall on Feb. 15, from 1-6 p.m. Donors must be 17 years of age and older.
