Anthracite Little League

The Anthracite Little League Association will hold registration on Saturday, Jan. 28, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Nesquehoning and Summit Hill borough buildings and again on Saturday, Feb. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon at the same locations.

The first meeting for the association will be held on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. at the Summit Hill borough building.

Democrats to meet

The Jeffersonian Democratic Club, Summit Hill, will hold its monthly meeting tonight at 7 o'clock in the borough hall.

Nathan Halenar, president, will be in charge of the session.

Petitions for persons aspiring to run for office in the April 24 Primary Election will be available for signing at this time.

Lansford

Borough council

A special meeting of the Lansford Borough Council will be held tonight at the community center. The council will meet in executive session at 6:30, followed by the special meeting that has been called for purposes of budget preparation and personnel issues.

President Rosemary Cannon will be in charge of the session.

Democrats to meet

The Lansford Democratic Club will meet tonight at 7 o'clock in the lower level meeting room of the American Legion Post Home. Christopher Ondrus, president, will be in charge of the session.

The guest speaker will be Ronald Rabenold, Democratic candidate for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives, 122nd Legislative District.
