File for divorce

Matthew Wayne Truskey, 512 Fawn Lane, Tamaqua, filed suit for divorce from Jilll Marie Truskey, 1018 Raymond Avenue, Bethlehem. They were married June 13, 2009.

Divorces granted

Newton E. Mull was granted a divorce from Lynn A. Mull, both of 214 Oak St., New Philadelphia. They were married Oct. 12, 2002.

Terri Rae Crumrine, Schuylkill Haven, was granted a divorce from Randy Lee Brazil Crumrine, Pine Grove. They were married Nov. 29, 2003.

Brandi L. Wolfe was granted a divorce from Gurney Wolff Jr., both of Pine Grove. They were married June 23, 2001.

Marie E. Lopko was granted a divorce from Gary L. Lopko, both of the of Lavelle, Butler Township. They were married May 22, 1993.

John R. Kantner was granted a divorce from Melinda G. Kantner, both of Pottsville. They were married April 2, 1993.

Larissa A. Boyer, Pottsville, was granted a divorce from Wayne K. Boyer, Tremont. They were married Dec. 1, 1990.

Linda S. Mekosh, Locustdale, was granted a divorce from George J. Mekosh, Ashland. They were married Dec. 7, 1989.

April A. Roter, Mahanoy Plane, Gilberton, was granted a divorce from Daniel R. Rote, Spring Mills. They were married April 29, 2009.

Heidi A. Nortavage, Frackville, was granted a divorce from Neal E. Nortavage, Mahanoy City. They were married Aug. 5, 2006.

Drop charges

Charges of assault which arose from domestic disputes against three men were dropped when the victims refused to prosecute.

District Attorney Karen Byrne Noll filed a motion to nolle pros the charges because the victims did not wish to proceed and President Judge William E. Baldwin dismissed the charges against the following:

Dean E. Krammes Jr., 24, Schuylkill Haven, charged with assaulting Amanda Breidigan; Michael Scholelck, Auburn, charged with assaulting Lori Daniel; and Harry E. Hosler, 32, Pottsville, charged with assaulting Brandy Daniel Lorah.

Summary offense

Peggy Dembinsky, 45. Ashland, appealed to court from a summary convictions of charges of exceeding the maximum speed limit on SR911 in Lavelle, Butler Township, last Aug. 8 and of faililng to obey a traffic signal.

Judge John E. Domalakes found her not guilty of the speeding charge but guilty of the traffic signal violation and reduced the fines from $168.50 to $25 plus $50 costs.

Bail hearings

Senior Judge D. Michael Stine ruled on bail hearings in the following cases:

Brandon Hosier, 28, of 232 Valely St., New Philadelphia, had his bail modified to $500 percentage cash and he shall continue to reside at the address of his parents and cannot relocate without prior approval of the court. He faces charges of theft of electronic games from a Tamaqua home and strong armed robbery of a couple walking in the area of the Tamaqua Train Station last Dec. 14.

Richard Unger, 53, Pottsville, bail modified to $10,000 percentage cash on each charge of delivery of a controlled substance, possession with intent to deliver and possession. If he posts bail upon his release from prison he shall be subject to random testings and enroll in Narcotics Anonymous, shall begin seeking employment and shall not possess, consume, transport, utilize illegal drugs.

Brian Bernotas, 35, Frackville, had his bail set at $25,000 cash and was remanded to the county prison in lieu of bail. He faces charges of burglary of a warehouse in Frackville.

Mark Stefan, 41, Saint Clair, had his bail modified to prevent him from having any contact with the victim other than for purposes of child custody and matters concerning parential rights. Stefan is charged with intercept communication and invasion of privacy with certain displays on the internet.

Judge Charles M. Miller ruled on bail hearings on the following cases:

Edward Thomas, 56, Shenandoah, had his bail set at $500 percentage cash and include conditions of not relocating without written permission from the district attorney's office, shall not possess nor consume alcoholic beverages of controlled substances, shall not travel outside the state without permission from the district attorney, secure gainful employment in 30 days and follow standard bail requirements. Thomas faces theft charges.

Leanne Micklesavage, 21, Ashland, had bail set at $5,000 straight cash and must obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and if she can be admitted into an impatient facility the court will modity the bail. She is charged with retail theft.
