Safe Haven Pet Rescue
Safe Haven Pet Rescue will have a volunteer meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at 6:30 p.m., at Cherry's Restaurant, Route 209 near Route 534, Kresgeville. Safe Haven is a small group of dedicated animal advocates who rescue dogs from high-kill and overcrowded shelters and finds them loving homes. All dogs are in foster care until their permanent homes are found. Safe Haven has rescued over 500 dogs so far. Safe Haven always welcomes volunteers and foster families.
Volunteers are needed for adoption days, dog transport to veterinary and grooming appointments, fundraising, clerical help, home visits and more. Foster homes are needed in order to save more dogs. Safe Haven will hold an Adoption Day on Sunday, Feb. 19, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m., at Tractor Supply, Route 209 in Brodheadsville. There will be many beautiful young dogs available for you to meet and get to know. Safe Haven requires a pre-adoption application with references and a home visit prior to adoption.

Ash Wednesday Lenten service will be held on Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m.
AARP will be doing tax preparation for senior citizens on Monday and Thursday from 9 a.m. until noon. There is no charge.
Polk PTO meeting
The monthly PTO meeting will be on Thursday, Feb. 23 at 4 p.m. in the library. Parents of Polk students are welcome to attend.
PVI PTO Bingo
Pleasant Valley Intermediate School PTO will be having a family bingo night on Friday, Feb. 24 from 6:30-8 p.m. in the cafeteria. All PVI families are welcome to attend.
Salem St. Paul's
Ash Wednesday Services will be at held at noon and 7:30 p.m. with the Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
