Granted divorce

Kevin J. Keating was granted a divorce from Teresa E. Keating, both of Pottsville. They were married Aug. 4, 1979.

Mortgage foreclosure

Wells Fargo Bank filed suit against Diane Swire and Donald Swire alleging they had defaulted on mortgage payments on their property at 18 Ferndale Road, Zion Grove, North Union Township, and owe a principal payment of $188,036.11 plus costs.

In contempt

Two men were found guilty by Senior Judge D. Michael Stine of a charge of criminal contempt of a protection from abuse (PFA) order issued by the court.

Gerald Joseph Zendrosky Jr., 31, Butler Township, was sentenced to pay a fine of $300 and serve 12 to 90 days in the county prison but was granted immediate parole and ordered to complete a drug and alcohol evaluation.

Michel Ebling, 27, Pottsville, was found guilty of indirect criminal contempt of court and was sentenced to a $300 fine and placed on probation 60 days and undergo mental health evaluation.

Revoke probation

Dennis J. Bachman, 23, Mahanoy City, had his probation revoked by Judge Cyrus Palmer Dolbin and he was re-sentenced on a charge of possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance to serve eight to 23 months in the county prison. On charges of possession of a controlled substance he received a concurrent sentence. He had pleaded guilty to the charges.

Bail hearings

Charles D. Henderson, 30, Kulpmont, had his bail modified by Judge James P. Goodman from $40,000 percentage to $25,000 unsecured. He faces an a charge of retail theft from Walmart Store in Saint Clair.

Jesse John Reppert, 38, Minersville, had his bail revoked by Judge Goodman and he was remanded to prison in lieu of $15,000 percentage bail. He faces simple assault and harassment charges.

Bambi M. Friday, 34, Wilkes-Barre, had her bail modified by Judge Goodman from $25,000 percentage to $10,000 percentage. She faces charges of possession of a controlled substance at the Schuylkill Mall in Frackville and giving a false name to police.

Payments overdue

Capital One Bank, (USA) NA, Glen Allen, Va., filed suit against Joseph N. Feeko, Sheppton, East Union Township, alleging default on credit card payments in amount of $13,018.40.

Portfolio Recovery Association, LLC, Philadelphia, filed suit against Bruce Hosler, 57 Frankford Avenue, Tamaqua R.2, alleging credit card default in amount of $5,772.22.

Calvary Spy, LLC, Vailhalla, N.Y., on behalf of Bank of America filed suit against Janel R. Gaspar, 234 Clay St., Tamaqua, alleging credit card default n amount of $10,465.59.

Calvary Spy also filed a suit against Timothy J. Paulo, 201 Market St., Tamaqua, alleging default on credit card payments of $33,285.61.

Community Bank, N. A. , Canton, N.Y., filed suit against Brian Corch, 71 Spring St., McAdoo, alleging he has failed to pay off a car loan and seeks a judgement for $31, 398.49.

Deny appeal

Roger Allen Weikel, 56, Shenandoah, had his appeal denied by the Pennsylvania Superior Court of a sentence imposed in the Schuylkill County Court for driving under the influence (DUI) of alcohol.

On Feb. 2, 2010, he struck a guard rail off SR924 in Shenandoah and was cited. He was sentenced to serve 48 hours to six months in the county prison and his license was suspended six months.

He challenged to sufficiency of the evidence to support his conviction after being found guilty after a non-jury trial claiming the Commonwealth failed to establish he was driving the vehcle within two hours of his blood alcohol test. The higher court disagreed, ruling the Commonwealth presented sufficient evidence for the court to establish he drove the vehicle.

Sex offender

Andrew Charles Bakerofskie, 21, Girardville, who had pleaded guilty to five counts of statutory sexual assault and one count each to corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor was sentenced by Judge John J. Domalakes to serve five to 10 years in a state correctional faclity with credit for serving 17 days in the county prison. He was also ordered to pay $50 to the Criminal Justice Enhancement Account and court costs.

He was evaluated by the State Sexual Offenders Assessment Board to be a sexually violent predator and must register all current or intended residences with the state police and comply with all of the conditions set forth by Megan's Law and have no contact with the victim or the victim's family.
