Sweeper schedule
Spring has officially arrived, heralding the return of the Tamaqua Borough street sweeper. Regular street cleaning operations will begin on Monday, April 2, with streets posted the day before sweeping is scheduled.
Permanently posted streets are swept every Thursday and Friday, beginning at 5 a.m. Those streets include portions of Broad, Berwick, Center, Pine, Railroad, Swatara and Nescopec streets.
Drivers must remove their vehicles from posted streets and are reminded to wait until after operations are completed before moving their cars back to the cleaned streets. Vehicles that are not removed from posted streets are subject to ticketing and towing at the owner's expense.
The schedule will be published periodically and operations will continue as needed. Schedules are always subject to change, dependent on the weather and work schedules.
