In last week's Northwestern at Palmerton Colonial League track meet, it was incorrectly reported that Doug Saks won the triple jump event in the boys' competition. It was actually Jarred Sacks of Palmerton who took first place in the event with a leap of 40-9 1/2.

@Breif.Head:Kristi Seiler named Freedom Conference Softball POW

Misericordia University softball standout Kristi Seiler, a Northern Lehigh graduate, was named Freedom Conference Softball Player of the Week.

Seiler, a freshman third baseman, hit .600 (9-15) with four doubles, one homer, 10 RBI and a 1.067 slugging % in a 3-1 week. She had a walk-off double in an 8-7 extra-inning win over Wilkes and added a walk-off three-run homer in a 14-5 5-inning win over Wilkes.

Seiler drove in all three of team's runs in a split at FDU-Florham, including both in a 2-0 win.
