April 6, 1970 Don Frehulfer wins a pair of events to help Lehighton open its track season with a narrow 62-56 win over Dieruff. Frehulfer captures the 100 and 220 and also contributes to the Indians' winning mile realy team. Lehighton also receives first place finishes from Denny Fritzinger (440), Gary Fedor (mile), Glen Haydt (two mile), Kevin Seltzer (high jump) and Greg Hopstock (pole vault).
