First Congregational Church
Morning Worship will take place at 9 a.m. Sunday, April 29, at First Congregational Church, 123 East Ruddle St., followed by Sunday School at 10 a m.
The Women's Class will gather for its annual Mother's Day event at 6 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, in the church hall. Please note the earlier-than-usual meeting time.
The church's nursing home ministry team will visit St. Luke's Miner's Geriatric Department, Coaldale, at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 2, followed by a visit to MapleShade, Nesquehoning, at 1:30 p.m.
Choir rehearsal will be held at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 2.
On Sunday, May 6, Morning Worship will be at 9 a.m. and Sunday School at 10 a.m.
Vacation Bible School
Registrations are currently being accepted for First Congregational Church's Vacation Bible School scheduled for 6-8 p.m. July 9-13. Youths between the ages of 3 and 18 are invited to participate.
On the VBS agenda are Bible lessons, crafts, group singing, and refreshments.
At the conclusion, a program will be held in the church followed by a social hour in the church hall, where parents and friends can view the work completed by the students.

To pay respects
Members of the Women's Class of First Congregational Church, Coaldale, will meet at 6:40 p.m. Sunday, April 29, at the Gulla Funeral Home, 130 E. Ridge St., Coaldale, to pay final respects to deceased class member, Thelma Martinec.
