The kindergarten classes at the L.B. Morris Elementary School will be hosting a Veterans Day Program on Friday, May 25, at 1 p.m. at the school. All veterans of the community are invited to attend the program. Refreshments will be served following the program. There are 90 students in the kindergarten classes and are under the direction of their teachers, Erica O'Donnell, Ginger Flisack, Shannon Fannock and Shawn Bierman.

Community dinner

St. Mark's Episcopal Church, will host the next free community dinner on Sunday, May 20, at the church on Race Street. The picnic style meal will be served from 4-6 p.m.

Reunion committee

The next meeting of the reunion committee for Jim Thorpe High School classes, 1955-1965, will be held on Monday, May 21, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held in the second floor conference room of the administration building on Center Avenue.
