May 16, 2006 Katelyn Boyd tosses a two-hit shutout and Meredith Dickson slugs a two-run homer to help lift Northwestern to a 3-0 victory over Pen Argyl in the Colonial League softball semifinals. Boyd retires 14 of the first 15 batters she faces and doesn't allow a runner past first base. Dickson connects for her long drive in the sixth inning to give the Tigers, coached by Jen Horner, a pair of insurance runs. Jess White singles and racs home on an error in the first inning to open the scoring.
