June 25, 1943 Joe Pancoe excels on the mound and at the plate to lead Nesquehoning to a 7-1 Panther Valley League win over Coaldale. Pancoe finishes with a four-hitter to gain the pitching win and helps his own cause by collecting three hits and scoring three runs. The winners, coached by Al Hochmiller, also receive three hits from McMichael and two from both Barno and Fiorentino.
