Receives academic achievement award

Megan Moran of Lake Hauto was among the 34 graduate students of The University of Scranton who were honored for their academic achievements at the College of Graduate and Continuing Education recent commencement ceremony.

The Jesuit university conferred a record 700 master's degrees and 46 doctoral degrees in physical therapy at the ceremony. Moran earned the Outstanding Academic Award in School Counseling.

Moran is a 2005 graduate of Marian Catholic High School and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia Wesleyan College with a BA in elementary education.

She is the daughter of Christine Moran of Lake Hauto, and the late Robert J. Moran.
